Friday, September 21^st – Practice Sorting at 7 pm – Registration is $15.  See Terry Carter if you have questions.

Tuesday, September 18^th – The Women’s Ministry is meeting at 7 pm in the Red room.  The first hour will be a Women’s meeting to discuss info regarding the ministry.  At 8 pm, we will be having a bible study.  This will be the new meeting format.  We feel it is important that we receive our spiritual feeding at every monthly meeting.  This month’s study is “Your Reputation” Proverbs 22:1.  See Robbyn if you have any question about this month’s meeting or bible study.

Saturday, September 29^th – 1st Annual Community Sale, bring your unwanted items to Rafter J for the sale.  Make sure everything is clean and have prices on the item.  WE welcome anyone wanting to volunteer to help! There will be a Bake Sale too, please see Robbyn for sign up to bring baked goods or to sign up for a shift to work the Community Sale. There will be a need for some people to volunteer Friday, September 28^th to help make sure everything is ready for Saturday’s sale.  Also, the used pews we have are available to any in the congregation but we need to be rid of them by 10/01/12 see Robbyn about this as well.

Mark your calendar for Saturday, November 3^rd – Horse Power for Kid’s Benefit.  All proceeds going to The Kaufman County Children’s Advocacy Center.  Special guest speaker is Elsie Frost.  Carnival, Motorcycle Run, Trail Ride, Youth Buck-Out, and live music.  Volunteers will be needed for this day.  Rafter J is partnering with Kaufman County Cowboy Church and other churches.  Please see James Burt, Terry Carter, Janie Collins, Shirley Mc, Red, or Skip, if you have questions.  More info in coming weeks.

Lesson #11 Spiritual Inventory II

Principle 4: Openly examine and  confess my faults to myself, to God, and to someone I trust.

“Happy are the pure in heart.” (Matthew 5:8)

Step 4: We made a searching and  fearless moral inventory of ourselves.

“Let us examine our ways and test  them, and let us return to the Lord” (Lamentations 3:40) 

Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts.  

See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

 (Psalm 139: 23-24)

How have you mistreated your mind, body,family or the church?

Did this prevent God from working effectively in your life? Why?
