Celebrate Recovery @ Rafter J Cowboy Church – Wednesday, November 7th

It’s Testimony  Night!
Large group starts at 7  pm and Small   groups start at 8 pm.
Tonight we will hear from a young man who struggled with Pride, Fear and Selfishness.
We invite you to come hear him share his amazing testimony, it’s a beauty!

Matthew 10:39 “Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will  find it.”

Step 12: Having had a spiritual experience as the result  of these steps, we try to carry this message to others and practice these  principles in all our affairs.
Galatians 6:1 “Brothers, if someone is caught  in a sin, you who are spiritual should restore them gently. But watch yourself,  or you also may be tempted.”

Victory Lesson #15
Large group   starts at 7  pm and Small   groups start at 8 pm
How can you have VICTORY over your defects of character?
Principle  5:  Voluntarily submit to every change God wants to make in my life and humbly ask  Him to remove my character defects.
“Blessed are those whose greatest desire is to do  what God requires.”
Matthew 5:6
Step 6:  We  were entirely ready to have God remove all these defects of  character.
“Humble  yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.”
James 4:10
Voluntarily submit
Identify character defects
Change your mind
Turn over character defects
One day at a time
Recovery is a process
You must choose to change
Leader’s  Focus  Question:
What character defect are you going to ask God to remove?  What will you stop doing and what will you start doing?

Victory  Lesson Prayer:

Dear  God, show me Your will in working on my shortcomings. Help me not to resist the changes that You have planned for me.  I need You to “direct my steps.” Help me stay in today, not get dragged back into the past or lost in the future.  I ask You to give me the power and the wisdom to make the very best I can out of today.  In the name of Jesus I pray,  Amen.
