Celebrat Recovery 15-Victory
Large group starts at 7 pm (age requirements 15 years and older)
Small groups start at 8 pm (age requirements 18 years or older)
How can you have VICTORY over your defects of character?

Principle 5: Voluntarily submit to every change God wants to make in my life and humbly ask Him to
remove my character defects.

Beatitude: Happy are those whose greatest desire is to do what God requires.

Step 6: We were entirely ready to have God remove all these defects of character.

Biblical Comparison: Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will lift you up. James 4:10

Step 7: We humbly asked Him to remove all our shortcomings.

Biblical Comparison: If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us
from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9

Voluntarily submit
Identify character defects
Change your mind
Turn over character defects
One day at a time
Recovery is a process
You must choose to change

Leader’s Focus  Question:

What character defect are you going to ask God to remove?  What will you stop doing and what will you start doing?

Dear  God, show me Your will in working on my shortcomings. Help me not to resist the changes that You have planned for me.  I need You to “direct my steps.”  Help me stay in today, not get dragged back into the past or lost in the future.  I ask You to give me the power and the wisdom to make the very best I can out of today.  In the name of Jesus I pray, AMEN.

It’s Testimony Night!

We invite you to come to hear a testimony being shared by a woman who struggled with alcohol, perfectionism and pride.
Come hear her share about her surrender to God and the restoration in her life.
Come to hear why tonight is so special to her!

“Therefore, I am now going to allure; I will lead her into the wilderness, And speak tenderly to her.  There I will give her back her vineyards, and will make the Valley of Trouble as a door of hope; She will sing, As in the days of her youth, As in the day when she came up out of Egypt.”
(Hosea 2:14-15)
Principle 8.  Yield myself to God to be used to bring this Good News to others, both by my example and by my words.
“Blessed are those who are persecuted because they do what God requires.” (Matthew 5:10)

Step 12.  Having had a spiritual experience as the result of these steps, we try to carry this message to others and practice these principles in all our affairs.

“Brothers, if someone is caught in a sin, you who are spiritual should restore him gently.  But watch yourself or you also may be tempted.” (Galatians 6:1)

It’s Testimony Night!

We invite you to come to hear a testimony by a man who struggled with drug addiction, trust and pride.  He felt the weight of the world! Was that weight lifted? If so, by Whom?
Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send” And who will go for us?”  and I said, “Here am I. Send Me!” (Isaiah 6:8)
