Celebrate Recovery @ Rafter J Cowboy Church – Wednesday, December 13, 2017 – Amends Lesson
Meal Served @ 6:15 pm 6:45 pm
Large group starts at 7 pm (age requirements 15 years and older)
Small groups start at 8 pm (age requirements 18 years or older)
Principle 6: Evaluate all my relationships. Offer forgiveness to those who have hurt me and make amends for harm I’ve done to others, except when to do so would harm them or others.
“Blessed are the merciful.” (Matthew 5:7)
“Blessed are the peacemakers.” (Matthew 5:9)
Step 8: We made a list of all persons we had harmed and became willing to make amends to them all.
“Do to others as you would have them do to you.” (Luke 6:31)
Making your amends is the beginning of the end of your isolation from others and God. The AMENDS acrostic will help you get started.
Admit the hurt and the harm
Make a list
Encourage one another
Not for them
Do it at the right time
Start living the promises of recovery
Focus Question: How can you begin to live the promises of recovery? What promises of recovery have come true in your life?
Amends Lesson Prayer:
Our Father, I pray for willingness, willingness to evaluate all my past and current relationships. Please show me the people who I have hurt, and help me become willing to offer my amends to them. Also, God, give me your strength to become willing to offer forgiveness to those who have hurt me. I pray for Your perfect timing for taking the actions Principle 6 calls for. I ask all these things in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Monday, December 11: Monday Open Arena 7 pm.
Wednesday, December 13: Celebrate Recovery 7 pm – Amends Lesson – Meal Served 6:15 – 6:45 pm.
Thursday, December 14: Bibles and Bulls 7:30 pm – Devotional – $10 per mount.
Saturday, December 16: Men’s Breakfast and Prayer 8 am. VBS 10 am – 4 pm. Winter Barrel Bash 5D Barrel Race 12 pm.
Announcements:
Sunday, December 17: New member meet the pastor after church service. Collecting for church food pantry.
Sunday, December 24: New members introduced to Congregation. Candlelight service 7 pm.
Sunday, December 31: New Year’s Eve Bull Bash 3 pm. $5 gate fee. This event includes National Sr. Pro Bull Riders, ABRF Bull Riders, Women’s Bull Riders, and Steer Riding.
We need volunteers to serve on our CARE TEAM, please see Ms. Red if you are interested.
We are in need of food or monetary donations for Christmas Baskets. See Dee with any questions.

Wednesday, December 6: Celebrate Recovery 7 pm – Testimony Night – Meal Served 6:15 – 6:45 pm.
Thursday, December 7: Bibles and Bulls 7:30 pm – Devotional – $10 per mount.
Friday, December 8: Parade Float Set-up 6 pm, please come out to help! VBS Play practice 6 pm.
Saturday, December 9: Christmas Parade 10 am. Church float riders, please meet at the Football Stadium in Ben Gill Park at 9:30 am. Celebrate Recovery float riders, please meet at the stadium at 9:15 am.
