Celebrate Recovery @ Rafter J Cowboy Church – Wednesday, June 18, 2014

Sanity lesson

Large  group starts at 7 pm (age requirement 15 years and older)
Small groups start at 8 pm (age requirements 18 years and older) 
 
Principle  2:  Earnestly believe that God exists, that I matter to Him, and that He has the power to help me recover. 
 
  ”Blessed are those who mourn, for they  shall be comforted”  (Matthew 5:4)
 
Step 2:  We came to believe that a power greater than ourselves could restore us to  sanity.
 
 ”For it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose”  (Philippians 2:13)
 
Insanity has been described as “doing the same thing over and over again, expecting a different result each time.”
 
Sanity has been defined as “wholeness of mind; making decisions based on the truth.”
 
The following are some of the gifts we will receive when we believe that Jesus has the power and will restore us to SANITY!
Strength
Acceptance
New life
Integrity
Trust
Your Higher Power, Jesus Christ, loves you just the way you are!

 What do you keep repeating over and over again expecting a different result?  What are you looking for?

Sunday, June 15: 8:30-9:30 am Co-ed Adult Sunday School, 9:45 am Nursery Opens, 10:00 am Worship Service, Youth Class and Children’s Church after Music Worship. * Parents with kids Pre K-2nd grade, Please make sure you sign your kids both in and out in their classroom.

Open Arena 1:00-5:00 pm 

Wednesday, June 18: 7:00 pm Celebrate Recovery- Sanity Lesson #4

Friday, June 20:  Practice Sorting- Registration $15  7:00 pm

IT’S TESTIMONY NIGHT!!!
 
We invite you to join us tonight to hear a testimony from someone who struggles with drug addiction. Come hear her share how she found the unchanging LOVE of Christ.
 
 “In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace.” (Ephesians 1:7)
 
Principle 8.  Yield myself to God to be used to bring this Good News to others, both by my example and by my words.  
 
“Blessed are those who are persecuted because they do what God requires.” (Matthew 5:10) 
 
 
Step 12.  Having had a spiritual experience as the result of these steps, we try to carry this message to others and practice these principles in all our affairs. 
 
 “Brothers, if someone is caught in a sin, you who are spiritual should restore him gently.  
But watch yourself or you also may be tempted.”
