Scriptures: 2nd Timothy 2:1-13

This Week at Rafter J:
Sunday, May 28: 9 am Adult Co Ed Sunday School, 9:45 am Nursery Opens, 10:00 am Worship Service, Youth Class and Children’s Church after Music Worship, Sermon, 4th Sunday Potluck Lunch after service, Open Arena 1 pm – 5 pm.

Monday, May 29: Monday Night Open Arena 7 pm.

Wednesday, May 31: Celebrate Recovery 7 pm – Powerless Lesson #2, Principle 1 and Step 1 – Meal Served 6:15 – 6:45 pm.

Thursday, June 1: Thursday Night Bible Study 7 pm. Buck-Out after Bible Study – $10 mount or free ride for riders who attend bible study.

Friday, June 2: Women’s Ministry Bowling 7 pm. @ Terrell Bowling Center. Call Cindy Young with questions at 972-697-6211.

Announcements:
Saturday, June 10: Benefit for Jerry Hanna. We would love for each member to donate a new auction item and a cake for our cake walk. In Lieu of auction item, monetary donations will be accepted. Auction items will be accepted leading up to Thursday, June 8th 6:30 pm. Cakes needed by noon on June 10th, please place cakes on table set up near bleachers. Please see Janie or Shirley, if you have questions. Events and times were unavailable at the time of bulletin posting so look for church Eblast, Website and Facebook post with specific details about the cost, events and times.

Sunday, June 18: Father’s Day Breakfast served in sanctuary 8:30 am.

Saturday, June 24: Herd’em Up For Christ. Registration 8:30 am. Event begins at 10 am. Entry fee is now $10 per rider (can ride up to 4 times/teams), $40 per team. Registration form to be complete and full team fee to be paid at time team is entered and must be a full team. Teams must ride 5 out of 7 or 6 out of 8 (depending on total events per series) events to qualify for points. Principle 8. Yield myself to God to be used to bring this Good News to others, both by my example and by my words.

Step 12. Having had a spiritual experience as the result of these steps, we try to carry this message to others and practice these principles in all our affairs.

“Brothers, if someone is caught in a sin, you who are spiritual should restore him gently. 
But watch yourself or you also may be tempted.”

Wednesday, May 17:  Celebrate Recovery 7 pm –   Starting over with Step 1 Denial Lesson. Meal Served 6:15 – 6:45 pm. Principle 1 and Step 1. 

Thursday, May 18:  Thursday Night Bible Study 7 pm.  Buck-Out after Bible Study – $10 mount or free ride for riders who attend bible study.

Celebrate Recovery @ Rafter J Cowboy Church – Wednesday, May 10, 2017 – Come Celebrate 7 Years With Us

Testimony Night!

 
We have a female sharing her testimony with us.  
She is a survivor of childhood sexual abuse, 
celebrates sobriety over chemical dependency and currently struggles with co-dependency.
 

Principle 8. Yield myself to God to be used to bring this Good News to others, both by my example and by my words.
