Saturday, October 27th – 4-H Silver Spurs Horse Show, Men’s Ministry Meeting 6 pm

Other Information:
Mark your calendar for Saturday, November 3rd – Horse Power for Kid’s Benefit.  All proceeds going to The Kaufman County Children’s Advocacy Center.  Special guest speaker is Elsie Frost. Carnival, Motorcycle Run, Trail Ride, Youth Buck-Out, and live music.  Volunteers will be needed for this day.  Rafter J is partnering with Kaufman County Cowboy Church, Dallas County Cowboy Church, Jake E’s Riding Round Up, Crandall Cotton Gin and Rip Griffins Travel Center. We need a few uncooked briskets, cases of water and soda donated.  Please see James Burt, Terry Carter, Janie Collins, Shirley Mc, Red, or Skip, if you have questions.  
We are also in need of cakes to be donated for our Cake-Walk for the KCCA event.  See Janie or Mrs. Shirley if you can donate a cake.

Ready Lesson #14
Large group  starts at 7  pm and Small   groups start at 8 pm
What does it mean to be entirely READY to have God remove our character defects?
Principle  5: Voluntarily submit to every change God wants to make in my life and humbly ask Him to remove my character defects.
“Blessed are those whose greatest desire is to do what God requires.”
Matthew 5:6
Step 6:  We were entirely ready to have God remove all these defects of character.
“Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.”
James 4:10
Release control
Easy does it
Accept the change
Do replace your character defects
Yield to the growth
Leader’s Focus  Question:
What area of your life have you been able to turn over and surrender to Jesus Christ?  What area are you still holding onto?
Ready Lesson Prayer:
Dear God, thank You for taking me this far in my recovery.  Now I pray for Your help in making me be entirely ready to change all my shortcomings.  Give me the strength to deal with all of my character defects that I have turned over to You.  Allow me to accept all the changes that You want to make in me.  Help me be the person that You want me to be.  In Your Son’s name I pray, Amen.
