CELEBRATE RECOVERY

Large group starts at 7 pm (age requirements 15 years and older)
Small groups start at 8 pm (age requirements 18 years and older)

MEAL provided from 6 pm to 6:45 pm

Join Us, IT’S TESTIMONY NIGHT!!!

We invite you to join us tonight to hear a testimony from a woman who struggles with emotional detachment and control.

Come hear how the LOVE of Christ repaired her heart.

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong. (2 Corinthians 12:9-10)

Principle 8. Yield myself to God to be used to bring this Good News to others, both by my example and by my words.

“Blessed are those who are persecuted because they do what God requires.” (Matthew 5:10)

Step 12. Having had a spiritual experience as the result of these steps, we try to carry this message to others and practice these principles in all our affairs.

“Brothers, if someone is caught in a sin, you who are spiritual should restore him gently.
But watch yourself or you also may be tempted.”

(Galatians 6:1)

Confess #12

Large group starts at 7 pm (age requirements 15 years and older)

Small groups start at 8 pm (age requirements 18 years and older)

Come join us tonight as we continue Principle 4.

After writing an inventory, we must deal with what we have written.
The first way we do this is to confess our sins to God.

Principle 4: Openly examine and confess my faults to myself, to God, and to someone I trust.

“Happy are the pure in heart.” (Matthew 5:8)

Step 5: We admitted to God, to ourselves, and to another human being the exact nature of our wrongs.

“Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed.”
Confess your shortcomings, resentments and sins
Obey God’s directions
No more guilt
Face the truth
Ease the pain
Stop the blame
Start accepting God’s forgiveness

Focus  Question:

What positive changes have happened in your life due to sharing your inventory?
Which do you find more difficult: confessing to God, yourself or to someone you trust; why?
Confess
