Crossroads Lesson #19
Large group starts at 7 pm and Small groups start at 8 pm
Principle 7:    Reserve a daily time with God for self-examination, Bible reading and prayer in order to know God and His will for my life and to gain the power to follow His will.
Step 10: We continued to take personal inventory, and when we were wrong, promptly admitted it.
“So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don’t fall!” (1 Corinthians 10:12)

Small Group Focus Question:

What amends did/are you putting off that would be better done

promptly? What time of the day are you scheduling for your quiet time

with God?

Take time to do a daily inventory
Evaluate the good and the bad parts of our day
Need to admit our wrongs promptly

It’s  Testimony  Night!
Large group  starts at 7  pm and  Small    groups start at 8 pm.
Come visit tonight to hear a  testimony from a man who overcame his addictions, his struggles with anger, resentment, and pride.
How does the scripture below relate to his recovery?

2 Corinthians 12:7-10

7 And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure. 8 Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. 9 And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Principle 8. Yield myself  to God to be used to bring this  Good News to others, both by my example and by  my  words.
“Blessed are those who  are persecuted because they do  what God requires.”  (Matthew 5:10)
Step 12.   Having had a spiritual   experience as the result  of these steps, we try to  carry this message to  others  and practice these  principles in all our  affairs.

“Brothers,  if someone is caught  in a  sin, you who  are spiritual should restore them  gently. But watch yourself,  or  you also may  be tempted.” (Galatians 6:1)
